ENGLISH LANGUAGE LESSONS
Are you looking for…
one-on-one tutoring or group instruction?
classes at your home or workplace?
basic English or advanced?
a focus on speaking, writing, grammar or pronunciation?
a brief 1-week intensive or a long-term once a week class?
Whatever it is, I’m ready to talk with you about tailoring an English Language learning service to meet your need.
Because of the excellent TESOL training I received at Wheaton Graduate School and the wide variety of English teaching experiences I’ve had over the past decade, I’m comfortable in nearly any English Learning situation you can throw at me. But, of course, I do have my “sweet spots” that I love most:
My favorite age group to teach are adults.
My favorite levels to teach are beginner thru early intermediate.
My favorite skills to teach are Speaking and Literacy/Reading.
My favorite group dynamic is one with a mix of L1 (first languages).
My favorite class size is either one-on-one or a small group (6 to 8 students).
My favorite teaching mode is face-to-face.
Those are a few of my favorite things. But, as I already said, I’m quite comfortable in any teaching context. Tackling new challenges and tailoring a plan to fit the unique situation and needs of each client—that might just be my favorite thing of all!
Contact me today to begin the conversation about how I might be able to help you—or someone you know—make progress in their journey of learning English. I’d love to put together a FREE Service Proposal and Cost Estimate for your consideration.
Rates for English Language Lessons vary based on the class size, topic, and situation.
Whatever you’ve written—whether it is part of your own learning journey or part of helping someone else learn—I can offer you the support of an extra set of eyes and a fresh mind to tackle the copyediting, proofreading, or formatting of your masterpiece. Let me fidget with the fiddly details, so you can focus on the important parts—thinking about your topic and capturing your thoughts in writing.
Before I became an English teacher, I was an assistant book editor at a publishing house. It was an absolute dream job. But, 3 years and nearly 100 books later, my eyes warned me that they weren’t able to keep up with the demands of a full-time copyeditor and proofreader. So, I had to move my passion for polishing the printed word to a part-time profession. The fun part of that sad little story is that I now get to work on a wider variety of fascinating materials—more than merely book manuscripts!

Learning to read is one of the most important things we can ever do. Once we master that complex skill, we are equipped with a lifelong ability that opens up a world of learning to us! Helping learners of any age master the skill of reading is one of the most satisfying things I do with my time.
I have experience with tutoring one-on-one and in small groups, and have helped struggling readers as young as 1st grade all the way up to adults.
Contact me today to let me know about the friend or family member in your life who needs help learning to read, so they can spend a life reading to learn and grow!
